An Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 8 and under is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m., at Mennonite Memorial Home. The annual event, sponsored by Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) and Bluffton McDonald’s, will take place rain or shine. All children must be accompanied by an adult and should bring their own basket for collecting eggs. Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early as the eggs are collected very quickly once the hunt begins.
The Easter Egg Hunt will feature more than 3,000 eggs filled with candy by the Mennonite Memorial Home elders. Participants can also register for the drawing for Easter Baskets. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and will pose for pictures. Following the event, everyone is invited to the lobby to enjoy hot beverages provided by Mennonite Memorial Home and doughnuts, compliments of Community Markets of Bluffton.
The MHCO Service Group will sponsor an Easter Bake Sale from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. the same morning. Sale items will include cinnamon rolls, angel food cakes and homemade noodles. The Service Group has provided volunteers and support for Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio for more than 60 years.
