Niki Sidle, MSW, LISW-S, will present “Dying with Dignity: An Ethical and Holistic Approach,” at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, on Thursday, July 19 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.  The presentation is approved for 3 social work contact hours in ethics.  Pre-registration is required.

Goals for the presentation are:

  1. 1. Explore the meaning of holistic care and how to practice
  2. 2. Discuss misconceptions about end of life care
  3. 3. Discuss cultural and religious views on death as well as familial dynamic influence
  4. 4  Discuss the attempt to find meaning in losses, lives and most importantly, one’s own death
  5. 5. Review the Touchstones and grief processes
