Niki Sidle, MSW, LISW-S, will present “Dying with Dignity: An Ethical and Holistic Approach,” at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, on Thursday, July 19 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The presentation is approved for 3 social work contact hours in ethics. Pre-registration is required.
Goals for the presentation are:
- 1. Explore the meaning of holistic care and how to practice
- 2. Discuss misconceptions about end of life care
- 3. Discuss cultural and religious views on death as well as familial dynamic influence
- 4 Discuss the attempt to find meaning in losses, lives and most importantly, one’s own death
- 5. Review the Touchstones and grief processes
