GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is participating in #GivingTuesday because we believe that finances shouldn’t be a concern when someone requires long-term care. You can help us fulfill this incredibly important need for many in our immediate community by helping support MHCO’s Benevolent Care Fund, which helps cover the cost of care for elders who don’t have the ability to pay privately or access to other sources of funds.
MHCO invites community members, family members and staff to honor an elder in your life. According to Chris Moser, MHCO Director of Resource Development and Church Relations, “It’s a simple way to both support the work of nonprofits like MHCO and make a statement about “balanced giving” during the hectic shopping of the holiday season.” Please support the organizations closest to your heart and remember or honor an Elder who mentored you.
