Appreciation is extended to the area churches and community members who supported the MHCO Service Group Fall fundraiser. Ruth Hefner, president of the group commented. “It was just amazing. All the Service Group members were so active as people called in for tickets. In the end 595 tickets were sold. We are so pleased this effort will help support the purchase of a new handicap accessible van for MHCO. We estimate ticket sales and additional donations will provide around $2,200 for this fundraiser. It went so well that we may decide to have another one in the Spring. We trust that everyone enjoyed their meal. I know I did! It was a pleasure to work with Bubba C BBQ to provide this meal to the community.”
MHCO is thankful to the Volunteers that help with the medical transport program and are looking forward to a time when volunteers drivers will be able to get back into action with the support of a new van. The Service Group members continue to be creative as they find new ways to support MHCO during these challenging times.
