We anticipate some families and/or elders may want to make visits outside the facilities for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We have put a comprehensive plan in place to make this as safe as possible for everyone involved. We also know that MHCO plans are subject to change based on the spread of COVID-19 and state orders that pertain to congregant living.
We encourage everyone considering a Thanksgiving outing to read a recent letter from LeadingAge Ohio CEO, Kathryn Brod, that shares some useful insights and precautions. This letter can be read at https://mhcoliving.org/a-letter-from-leadingage-ohio-ceo-kathryn-brod/

Please review the details for your planning.
The success of this plan for resident social outings will help us move forward on future opportunities.
COVID has limited the ways we express love and care for one another through embracing, hand holding, and shared meals. Please plan your activities with the safety and well-being of residents and our communities in mind.
We give thanks to God for the gift of your lives and friendships across the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio. Be well.
Elizabeth Kelly, MHCO Board Chair
