Giving Tuesday is December 1st

This year, Giving Tuesday is on December 1, 2020.  Simply put… Giving Tuesday is a day to do good… a day to celebrate generosity.

As MHCO prepares for Giving Tuesday, we give thanks to many in our community for making MHCO better.

Today we give thanks to the many Our Daily Bread Mobile Meal Drivers who deliver meals to older adults in the Bluffton and Pandora Community.

MHCO gives thanks to Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256. They have put in more than 150 hours of work at MHCO with different projects including Jonah Brown’s Eagle project which included landscaping work on the front side of Mennonite Memorial Home. Thank you Troop 256 for your generous support of MHCO.

Thank you to the many area churches for their expressions of faithful fellowship and support during challenging times. For supporting MHCO families, residents and team members with a Prayer circle May 1st, holding a Thanksgiving shower of cards and for your ongoing pastoral calls, visits and online worship services.

Thank you to the many volunteers who made masks and gowns: to the many individuals and area businesses that provided additional masks and PPE supplies or helped prepare meals. To family members and others who performed special acts of kindness for MHCO team members and elders during these challenging days. And to the ICON who faithfully helps MHCO communicate with volunteers about opportunities and needs.

To our MHCO Team members for their dedication and hard work with your many daily activities and providing care for each older adult.  To MHCO Elders for sharing and teaching us of your hopes and love of family, along with and perseverance and patience.  Thank you!

As Director of Resource Development and Church Relations, I am thankful for the many people and organizations who have given their time, talent and resources over our 65 year history to support the mission of MHCO. Thank you for your support and prayers during these challenging times.

We at MHCO are dedicated to being a Christ Centered Community that promotes personal decision making and purposeful living. We believe all older adults are deserving of this care.

You can help serve our community of older adults with your support in any of the ways afore mentioned. If you would like and are able to join us by making a one-time gift or an ongoing monthly gift visit us @ https://mhcoliving.org/ways-to-give/
