Over the past several weeks during which the COVID-19 vaccine has been available, we have seen a decrease in COVID-19 transmission both in the community and on our campuses. We would like to thank our residents, families and staff for their diligent efforts in helping reduce the spread. We are not yet in the clear, and we will continue to have precautions in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We understand that many are looking for more ways to connect with loved ones in our communities after almost a year of restrictions. Residents of MHCO campuses now have the opportunity to travel from their building in most circumstances. Each campus will continue to follow local and state guidelines for COVID-19 containment and all plans may be suspended pending local level of positivity and any federal or state mandates that are issued at a later time.
While all residents will have the opportunity to have trips away from their respective campuses, there are notable differences in protocols dependent on receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine. To learn more about the specific protocols that have been put into place to allow for these trips in a safe manner, please review the complete “Resident Departure from MHCO Campuses” document here. Indoor visitation at all campuses will continue as well – those policies can be found here.
Please call your campus if you have questions about this policy, or if you would like to schedule a visit.
